USABO考试是整个美国的生物学科领域内最高端硬核的知识类竞赛没有之一，对申请大学背景提升有极大作用。USABO 美国奥林匹克生物竞赛是美国举行的面向全美国的高中生进行 IBO 国际奥林匹克生物竞赛国家队队员的选拔性竞赛。
非美国国籍学生可参加初赛，即由美国的知名大学轮流出题，考察内容非常广泛，题目难度大部分属于 college level 或更高，对于学生而言属于挑战性考试。
考试形式：个人比赛，试卷笔试。
奖项设置：金牌（总分排名前10%），银牌（总分排名前25%），铜牌（总分排名35%），成绩优异奖(各区排名前20%）
参赛时间：每年4月
考试内容
USABO是IBO之下各类国际性生物竞赛中难度最高的，从考察的深度和广度上都要超过本身已经比较难的AP生物，要求对知识点的深度理解和掌握并能够灵活运用。课程以权威的Campbell生物学为基础，内容安排上以USABO为参照，在教授大学水平的生物学内容的同时，也尽可能的培养生物思维和高水平生物竞赛所需的解题思路。该课程不仅有助于在USABO中拿奖，有可以帮助在AP生物学，BBO，多伦多生物竞赛， SAT2生物考试中取得高分。
适用对象
USABO竞赛任意年级高中生均可以参赛，本期课程适合10年级和11年级，以及学有余力的9年级同学参加。
