We have been discussing how technology hasfueled an expansion in the availability ofinformation, including the news. Some traditional news sources have a reputation for being fact based and for presenting multiple views. However, other news sources, including some blogs and social media, may present partial, or even inaccurate, information. What is the best way to determine whether a news source is accurate and reliable or not? Why?
同学一:
最重要的就是教育，有专门的课可以提供大量的这样的新闻和例子让学生们辨别学习，然后最重要的是一个人的思辨能力.
同学二:
倾向于选择traditional news source，因为她就是很难分辨新闻的可靠性之类的
审题注意点:
1. 这一套题，综合+学术，整体都重复了24年10月27日的考题。
2.新闻话题, 比较难，所以我们团里重点讲解过的内容的。团里的同学写起来应该轻松。
3.”what is the best way to determine whether anews sourceis accurate and reliable"判断新闻来源是否可靠准确的最好方式是？
这是一个开放题型了，大家可以自己提出自己认为的好方法。当然也可以跟其他同提出的方法一致。
其他可行的方法:
1. 多看不同的媒体报道，进行对比。 通过对比就可以轻易地看出不同之处，进行鉴别。
2. 查看原始来源，检查是否被二创和被曲解。比如网上有很多关于Beyonce、Musk等的谣言。但是大家一查信息源就会发现没有实质地证据。
(3) 选项分析：
同学一:"最重要的就是教育，有专门的课可以提供大量的这样的新闻和例子让学生们辨别学习，然后最重要的是一个人的思辨能力.. "👩🏻🏫
分析： 这是一个比较根本，但是也很难的方法。对老师的能力，教学资源，和学生的能力水平都有很高的要求。比如，这种思辨能力，在我们国家，一般是在大学才有开设。老师我也曾经教授过SAT写作，这种写作就需要crticial thinking批判性思维,比托福要难。
好处：- 学生能够系统地学习辨别信息的真伪，这样从根本上减少假新闻的传播。
坏处：- 难以操作。尤其是需要高水平的课程设计规划，效果也需要很长时间才能显现出来。
同学二: ”倾向于选择traditional news source，因为她就是很难分辨新闻的可靠性之类的“
👩🏻🏫分析：传统媒体，比如知名的新闻媒体路透社Reuters，有较高的声誉。他们一般有专门的调查记者进行深入的调查报道。可靠性更高。
好处：相对社交媒体，传统媒体确实可靠一些。方便人们获得真实的信息。
坏处：传统媒体也有偏见，影响人们获得真实，客观的信息。比如《经济学人》就一直唱衰中国。 美国的《纽约时报》偏自由派。

We've discussed methods teachers employ tomake their course content more engaging forhigh school students. One possible method isusing class time to discuss the ideas studentslearned in a lecture or assigned reading. While some believe that having students discuss the material with classmates is beneficial, others consider it a waste of class time.What do you think is the most important consideration for teachers when deciding whether to include opportunities for group discussion during class?Why?
审题注意点:
1.这虽然是一道新题，还是"课程讨论"这个话题还是托福常考的内容。 在以往也多次考到过。我们团里也分享过一些 小组讨论的优缺点语料，团里同学写起来应该轻松。
比如：学生从讨论中可以更好知道自己的问题(gap), 向其他同学学习。也可以提升学生的沟通能力，和合作。 但是学生们也容易争吵起来，或者聊其他的。
2.What do you think is the most important consideration for teachers when deciding whether to include opportunities for group discussion during class?Why?
--> ⭕️ 注意，这是一道开放题型。需要我们自己提出一个因素，来论证 这个因素是老师在决定是否应该加入小组讨论。 比较新颖。并不是泛泛分析“小组讨论的优缺点”
这个时候就可以借鉴其他2位同学的内容 。根据网上其他同学回忆：1. 课程时长； 2. 课程难度。
这2个都是很好切入的角度。思路也很容易：
A. 考虑课程时间。
如果课程时间比较长(比如2个小时)，而同学们的注意力时间又比较有限(attention span./团里词汇)， 老师就应该加入一些小组讨论，提供一些多样的学习体验(diversified learning experiences)这样可以更好地engage学生们。
B. 考虑课程难度。
如果一门课知识点比较难理解，抽象，比如高等数学，有机化学等，那也可以提供一些小组讨论，让学生们相互分析，有利于提升学习效率。相反，如果课程比较简单，就没有必要了。
此外也有很多其他角度可以分析，
比如：C.课程领域，需要培养的技能。像商业，法律专业，主要培养的就是学生的沟通能力和说服能力。那么就需要多组织小组讨论。但如果是数学等学科，需要培养的是学生的逻辑思维能力，小组讨论反而会分散学生对一个内容的深入思考。

I think flexible work hours are the best solution, My cousin, for example, shifted to aremote job so he could help his daughter with schoolwork during the day. Havingcontrol over his schedule allowed him to be present without sacrificing his jobperformance.

I believe the key is strong support systems, like grandparents or trusted daycarecenters. My mom was a nurse with long shifts, and we relied on my aunt to help.Without that network, it would've been impossible for her to manage both work andparenting.
审题注意点:
(1). 这道题重复了25.3.22日题目。属于工作·家庭话题。
(2). 可行的思路:这是一个开放性题目，大家可以根据工作父母在育儿方面遇到的问题，提出相关的解决错误。比如，
1. 无法及时去接送小孩子上下学，因为他们的 上下学时间跟上班时间不一致(work hours often clash with school pick-up and drop-off time)。
2. 父母如果加班，孩子无人照顾。 尤其是孩子突发紧急情况，比如生病和被欺负(illnesses or bullying)，需要父母。(Parents working overtime struggle to find someone to look after their children during late horus. )
3. 小孩子的托管，保姆费用和日常开销等费用(childcare services, including nannies and daycare)比较昂贵，父母都要工作才能赚够足够钱供养孩子。
5. 父母因为长时间工作，影响了亲子关系。所以，相应的措施可以是：
1. 在公司建立托儿所服务/雇佣育儿保姆(on-stie daycare)，帮助加班或工作繁忙等员工照顾孩子。
2. 允许父母灵活远程/在家办公(remote work or flexible hours)，在不影响工作的情况下(without compromising work performance)处理孩子的突发需求。
3. 政府或公司提供育儿补贴，减轻父母的经济负担。
3. 制定工作下班后不联系员工，让员工跟孩子相处。或者设定“亲子日Family Day”为父母提供上班时跟孩子互动的机会。
