申请文书，在招生官眼里，是你本人“走进他们办公室”的一次机会。但很遗憾，不少同学走得姿势离谱——不是拎着简历砸门，就是带着一封AI情书哭倒在地。
今天就来聊聊几种我们见过最多、最容易踩的文书雷区。有些你可能已经踩了，有些你可能正在计划去踩。
写之前请反复阅读，写完之后请逐条自查。
01、Why 文书写得浅：看完只想“所以呢？”
太多人写Why文书的时候就是一句话甩出去：“我喜欢你们学校和你们学校的XX专业”。
“I've loved biology since I was a child collecting insects in my backyard. In college, I hope to further explore this passion in a rigorous academic environment.XX University’sstrong research focus, abundant undergraduate opportunities, and commitment to career development make it the ideal place for me to grow. With access to cutting-edge labs, supportive faculty, and a vibrant intellectual community, I know I will be able to deepen my understanding of the life sciences and prepare for a meaningful career in biology.”
这段话可以套进任意一所大学的文书里，从哈佛到本地州大都能用，完全没提到学校的独特资源、课程或文化特点。真正打动招生官的“Why”部分，必须是你看懂了他们是谁，你知道你为什么选他们。
你写的是“喜欢”，但招生官在找“动机”、“能力”、“深度”、“目标”以及和学校“价值观”的匹配度。
02、找一堆人改：文书像万能拼盘，没人听得出你的声音
爸妈说要更正经点，老师说开头要有文采，申请机构说要体现领导力，你的朋友说应该加点感情，于是你的第一段长这样：
“In the labyrinth of life, every decision carves a new path into the architecture of our destiny.”
这不是文书，这是套话生成器。没有“你”这个人，只有“大家都满意”的结果。
改来改去、打补丁式写作，会把你的文书变成高仿品——语法没问题，意思不明白，个性全丢光。
03、简历再版：写得像“活动清单2.0”
有些学生可能是怕招生官漏看了简历，所以在文书里再次复读机：
“In 10th grade, I became a team leader in Model UN. In 11th, I co-founded a STEM club. In 12th, I interned at a biotech firm.”
这不是在讲故事，这是在背活动时间线。
招生官不是健忘，他们希望你选一件事深挖，而不是念十件事混播。
你越想面面俱到，越容易写得面目模糊。
04、把PS当全场主力：一篇文书想carry整个申请
有同学GPA一般，背景普通，但觉得只要PS写得感人肺腑，招生官就能眼眶泛红、含泪点头。然后就开始“用生命写文书”：每天换一版，每句斟酌、每段重写。
问题是文书本来就不是决定性因素，它只是让你整套材料“有温度”。写得好当然加分，但写得再好也拯救不了硬伤。别把赌注全押上去，也别指望PS能“逆天改命”。
除此之外，各个大学的补充文书也是需要花时间做school research，需要合理分配各类文书的写作时间和精力。
05、讲了一堆别人的事儿，自己却没交代清楚
你写了支教项目里的学生、养老院的老人、细心照顾你的家人、全力支持你的队员……全是别人，但没你。
“Grandma didn’t make it through that winter. That Spring Festival, I was drowning in endless regret—regret for breaking a promise, regret for not being by her side in her hardest moments, but most of all, regret for never being able to repay her selfless love. Our shared memories have always been the driving force and encouragement in every stage of my life—they are my most precious treasure.”
如果招生官看完只记得“项目很感人”“队友人不错”“奶奶很贴心”，那你基本算出局了。
故事的主角是你，不是你去过的地方，也不是你帮过的人。过程中你做了啥？你思考过什么？你有没有困惑、冲突、决策？遇到问题你是怎么解决的？这些才是重点。
06、全靠AI：英语没毛病，就是不认识你
文书AI写一版，流畅、整齐、有逻辑。再润色一下，语法也没问题。就是——不像人写的，更不像你写的。
“Since my early years, I have been passionate about unraveling the mysteries of the universe through science. Whether contemplating the laws of physics or exploring the intricacies of biological systems, I find myself constantly drawn to the boundless potential of scientific inquiry. Science, to me, is not just a subject, but a lens through which I understand the world and envision a future of innovation and progress. In college, I hope to further deepen my knowledge and contribute meaningfully to humanity’s collective pursuit of understanding.”
AI的通病是：词很大，心很空。你不出镜，全程靠假人演讲，招生官当然不会买账。更重要的是，很多大学在官网中明确强调不允许使用AI生成的内容。

07、写到自己都哭了，但别人看完很困惑
你写得情绪拉满、真情实感，自己改稿的时候还眼眶湿润。但问题是：这跟你申请的专业有啥关系？这段经历对你产生了什么影响？你得出什么结论了？
“I hadn’t spoken to anyone for months. The devil called loneliness had locked me in. My mother seemed to notice my depression and would call me with a gentle, comforting voice. But still, I didn’t want to speak. I had to play the role of being strong, but I couldn’t silence the fragile, crying child inside me. Saying nothing felt like the only thing I could do.”
看起来像深夜朋友圈emo文案，而不是一份申请材料。感人≠有用，动情≠有逻辑。
招生官需要的是你“因此发生了什么改变”，而不是“因此感觉很多，并沉浸在里面”。
08、想法太多，一天一个主意，最后写成意识流小说
早上决定讲支教，下午觉得创业更有料，晚上觉得可以写一次争执经历，第二天又想换个切入角度。结果写了五个开头，没有一个能用。
你是挺全能的，但招生官全晕了。没有聚焦的文书，就像菜单上同时卖火锅、炸鸡、寿司、煎饼果子：谁都不想点。
在开始写文书之前，我们需要先充分收集素材，并明确整体申请形象的定位，避免把文书写成一场个性展示会。你得先搞清楚你是谁、你想做什么、你能做什么，然后再呈现那个有认知、有方向、有温度的自己。
总结心法：
不是不要真诚，是别暴露混乱
写文书就像见面试官。真诚当然好，但不代表你把自己乱糟糟地倒在对方面前。真正打动招生官的，从来不是华丽辞藻，也不是煽情段子，而是一个知道自己是谁、想做什么，并愿意为此付出的人。
