在完成申请主文书之后，转学生通常需要额外提交一篇转学文书（不同学校要求略有不同)，这篇文书是你向招生官展示他们学校如何适合你的重要材料。

转学文书不同于本科新生的申请文书，转学文书更侧重于:

你是如何从现在的大学成长起来的?

你在新大学未来的具体目标。

由于转学生比新生申请者要少得多，招生官往往有更多的时间投入到每一份申请中。这就是为什么你的转学文书要传达深思熟虑的转学原因，并密切关注细节。

做到:

1、解释一些你希望在新大学实现的具体目标。

2、你希望学习的具体专业是什么?你想和哪个系的教授一起工作?有没有一门课你觉得非常有趣，你想去上?

3、关注未来，从教育和成长的角度，提到你是如何从你现在的大学中受益的。你可能完全不喜欢它，但重要的是你要向招生官展示你如何从你的经历中学到东西。

4、谈谈你很想加入的学校的具体学术特点。例如你对某个项目或教授感兴趣吗?

不要:

1、批评讨厌你现在的学校，或听起来你在那里过得很不好。为你在以前的大学成绩不好找借口。许多转学生的学习成绩较差，这可能是因为他们的社交生活对他们的学习成绩产生了负面影响，也可能是因为他们被困在了某个专业，他们已经不感兴趣了。

2、给出没有学术动机的转学理由，或者可以被理解为微不足道的理由。比如，因为你想家，你原来的大学太辛苦，你想和你的另一半更近一些，等等。

The time I have spent at Gotham University in unsatisfying writing classes has led me to my true passion: computer science. Though GU was once my dream school, and my educational field originally English, my time in the campus computer club has inspired me to become more involved in computer science.

Carnegie Mellon’s computer science program is ranked very highly in the field, which will help me be a great programmer. At Gotham University, my class sizes were too large and I felt like my professors did not care about me as a student.
