引言

在美本申请中，早申（ED）是录取概率最大的阶段，也是冲击梦校最好的机会。许多美国大学会给没有申请ED1或没有收获录取的同学增加一次ED2。 不知不觉时间来到了11月下旬，EA和ED1的申请已经首战告捷，美本早申请基本告一段落。

如果ED1已经收获录取，那么恭喜你提前结束23 Fall申请季～但如果运气稍弱，那么接下来的ED2和RD就至关重要了。今天我们来聊聊ED2的申请战略。 

接下来的几周，各大学院正在陆续公布ED1的录取结果。这段时间内焦虑是不可避免的，而没有得到期望答复的学生可能想知道他们仍有哪些选择。对于希望提高自己被顶尖大学录取几率的高三学生来说，还有另一条途径。

虽然并不能重新申请ED1学校，但ED2的存在依然可以让学生们在常规申请（RD）截止日期前申请学校。没有在早申阶段拿到offer的同学也不用焦虑，因为一部分大学现在仍然开放ED2申请。

敲重点！！ED2是与ED1相对应的一种鲜为人知的方式，但它遵循类似的规则。作为早申形式之一，它们都具备唯一性和捆绑性。在这种规定下，如果被录取，则该决定具有约束力，学生必须入学。它给了学生第二次机会来证明他们对特定院校的承诺，并表明持续兴趣。

虽然ED2申请的录取率不比ED1，但往往比常规申请的录取率高出很多，可以帮助学生进入理想的学校。所以，对于想要在ED2阶段下车，不参与后续卷RD的学生来说，这段时间就要拼命冲刺啦。

从上述对ED2的解读不难看出，从各方面来说， ED2都是一个非常不错的选择，因为它既延长了申请时间，也能将入读知名大学的概率大大提升。

延长申请时间

ED2延长了申请截止日期，给学生额外的几周时间来加强他们的大学申请。与 11 月的ED1截止日期不同，RD截止日期通常在 12 月或 1 月，而ED2的申请日期往往与这些日期（12月至1月中旬）一致。有了这些额外的时间，学生就可以在提交ED2申请时纳入他们可能会忽略的年终成就。

通过这些更新，学生的个人资料可以得到极大的改善，突出他们在领导力、协作和个人成长方面的持续发展和成就。此外，学生还可以利用这个窗口来提高自己的标化成绩，重新参加考试以在各个考试中取得更好的成绩。

提升录取率

一般来说，申请ED 的学生的录取率要高于申请RD的学生。但不得不提的是，较高的录取率并不一定表明申请ED更 "容易 "被录取，还有其他一些因素在起作用。此外，由于学生是向自己最心仪的学校申请ED，因此他们更倾向于自我选择，从而更有可能成为学校的合适人选。

但是与之相比的是，ED2也并不是毫无坏处。

撞车常规申请

ED2和RD申请的截止日期通常在同一时间或前后。对于一些学生来说，在这段时间内处理额外的申请可能会让他们不知所措。因此，学生需要花额外多的时间规划各阶段的选校及申请。

录取率提升幅度较小

虽然各大学很少公布ED1和ED2录取率差异的确切数据，但很明显，总体而言，ED2的录取率提升幅度较小。因为ED1申请者已经填补了一部分新生的名额，从而导致ED2申请者的录取名额减少。因此，在这一阶段申请人所面临的竞争会更加激烈。

选择限制

01 Tier 0

Tier 0档次属于申请美国本科最高认可度的学校，这一类梯级的学校对学生的基本要求非常高。这些学校的录取率低于 10%，竞争非常激烈。它们需要的是优秀的学术成绩和出色的课外活动，但这些只足以让申请者进入竞争行列。

此梯级都是最难进入的学校，对所有学生来说都是可望而不可及的学校，即使是最优秀的学生。这并不是说这些学校不可能被录取，只是说绝不应将其视为一个容易的目标。

02 Tier 1
