为啥这么多头部学校，我先看哥大呢？因为在大藤里面，他的转学录取人数还真的不算少。在官网上哥大明确表示，每年有100多名转学生可以入学。
下面是哥大推特上的信息，意思是每年差别不大，一般来说有100多转学生入学，转学的录取率不到10%，据传在6-7%，比哥大自己新生的录取率还是要好一点点。虽说看上去100多人蛮多的 ，但是其实里面应该有不少是给3+2项目预留的位置，所以，真正冲上去申请到入学的人数应该不会多。
Columbia Undergraduate Admissions How many students are admitted as transfers?Due to the high retention rate in both Columbia College and Columbia Engineering, there are usually very few spots in the sophomore and junior classes. As a result, we typically admit fewer than 10 percent of those who apply for transfer admission each year. Though the number varies from year to year, in recent years, we have admitted roughly 150 transfers from over 2,500 applicants.
哥大转学必须用coalition系统，不能用commonAPP，这点蛮奇怪的。哥大明确表示一直到2023-2024这个申请年份，标化考试属于Test optional。其他需要的材料是：
1. 高中的成绩单（必须包含所有就读的高中）
2. 大学的成绩单
3. Coalition系统里面的转学报告
4. Coaliton系统里面的活动列表
5. 两封学术推荐信6. 标化考试可递交，也可不递交。
哥大的文书要求如下： Please note: While the Coalition Essay in the Profile is not required for a complete transfer application, applicants will be asked to upload a 400-600 word essay responding to the following prompt in the Uploads section of the application: · Please explain why you are interested in transferring from your current institution. (The personal essay does not need to be specific to Columbia, but it should inform the committee why you wish to leave your current institution.)
有家长问我，作为新生申请时候的文书是否能用，一看问题就知道了肯定不一样了。当然，如果孩子在前面的申请过程中练会了思考方式和写作思路，自己来当然是可以的。
对于成绩单，哥大明确表示最好由学校用电子的方式传送。哥大要求至少有24个学分，在文理学院不能超64个学分，工院不能超过68个学分，包括AP或者IB转换的学分。但是IB或者AP转换不能超16个学分。
同时，如果要申请转学工院必须至少有：
-两个学期的微积分课程
-两个学期的物理课程
-一个学期的化学课
大家可以看到，除了你高中和大学的成绩以外，你的选课以及学分数量还是很重要的。
GPA是核心，官网上学校要求至少3.5，不过实际上3.8都不算够。
