A Message from the Academic Director of WSDA
At WSDA, we are always giving students meaningful academic challenges and exciting opportunities to grow.
Model United Nations is one of the world’s most respected academic activities,combining public speaking, critical thinking, research, collaboration, and leadership into one dynamic format. It gives students the chance to step into the role of international delegates, debate global issues, negotiate solutions, and develop the confidence to express complex ideas with clarity and purpose.
The true value of Model United Nations goes far beyond learning about world affairs.MUN teaches students how to think carefully, speak persuasively, listen actively, and work productively with others. It challenges them to engage with important global topics while building the communication and problem-solving skills that will benefit them in school, in competition, and in their future academic and professional lives.In today’s world, the ability to understand different perspectives, collaborate across differences, and communicate with confidence is more important than ever, and Model United Nations is one of the very best platforms for developing those skills.
For students who love speaking, debating, current events, or leadership, Model United Nations is an outstanding next step. For students who want to become more confident, more informed, and more globally minded, it is an equally valuable experience.
