01 HIR竞赛介绍
HIR全称Harvard International Review Essay Competition，HIR哈佛国际评论写作竞赛，由哈佛校内的《哈佛国际评论》主办，比赛面向全球7-12年级学生，个人参赛，线上投稿。

HIR竞赛全年开放春季赛、夏季赛、秋冬季赛三个独立赛季，秋冬赛季2027年1月2日截止提交。
02 HIR竞赛含金量
HIR竞赛主题聚焦国际事务、地缘政治、全球安全、全球文化、全球化议题，非常适配申国际关系、社科、历史、政治、公共政策、人文社科等方向的学生；评委为期刊编辑、哈佛相关学者；证书由HIR主编签发，晋级决赛者需要参与线上答辩。
由于HIR的写作字数要求较少，很多学生会将HIR和John Locke同步准备，互相补充。在文书、活动列表、写作样本中，都可以复用HIR的论文成果作为学术+思考能力、写作水平的补充材料。

Senior组 主题A：数字时代的全球文化
Global Culture in the Digital Era
How is the digital era reshaping shared culture across borders—what is gained, what is lost, and who gets to shape it?
Senior组 主题B：多极世界中的安全
Security in a Multipolar World
As power spreads across many centers, what does real security look like—and who keeps the peace when no single state leads?
Senior组 主题C：技术、创新与电力
Technology, Innovation & Power
From AI to biotech, how is technology redrawing the map of global power—and who should write the rules?
与John Locke的参赛数据逻辑相似，HIR近几年的参赛人数也在不断增长，以夏季赛为例：2023年全球仅500人参赛，到2025年仅中国就有约2600人投稿。
HIR议题多为全球热点、国际关系、社会政策类话题，讨论主题综合性更强，需要投稿者建立跨学科视角，与John Locke的主题要求有区别。从选题立论到成稿，全面提升学术分析能力。
