Showcase Projects

Gold Award Project: Colmena - Geospatial Intelligence through AI Agent Swarms
Inspired by the collective behavior of bee colonies, this pioneering system deploys hundreds of AI agents that autonomously navigate and analyze Google Street View data. Like worker bees returning to their hive, these coordinated agents systematically sweep through urban environments, identifying and cataloging various urban infrastructure issues based on simple user commands. The platform represents a fundamental breakthrough in geospatial analysis, transitioning from traditional single-point detection to collaborative, large-scale autonomous reconnaissance capable of generating comprehensive urban assessment maps.

This project tackles public speaking anxiety by creating a real-time AI coaching system. Using a camera and microphone, it leverages Google Cloud Speech-to-Text for continuous speech analysis, MediaPipe for tracking eye contact and posture, and OpenAI to generate Socratic questioning. Providing precise feedback every 5 seconds on pacing, filler words, pauses, and engagement, it makes professional speech training accessible to everyone.

Addressing the staggering 820 billion hours of informal care required annually for Alzheimer's patients, this project developed a vision-based memory enhancement system powered by three coordinated AI agents. Users wear smart glasses that automatically record daily experiences, while the system utilizes Gemini 2.5 Flash for preliminary annotation and Supabase for secure memory storage. Incorporating two evidence-based therapies - Context-Specific Induction (CSI) and Spaced Retrieval (SR) - the solution transforms raw image review into an AI-driven, gently interactive process that promotes long-term memory consolidation to support patient rehabilitation.

Cutting-Edge Tech Workshops: Empowering Your Maker Journey!
Great ideas demand solid technical support. For this purpose, the MIT mentor team has meticulously designed five core workshops covering a complete skill system from software to hardware, beginner to advanced.

Whether you're new to programming or an experienced developer, these workshops will provide tailored guidance and technical empowerment suited to your growth path, helping you break through limits and bring innovative ideas to life!
