每个经济知识点，都有AO1,AO2和AO3。经济大题也是根据AO1,2,3来给分的。在学习写作的结构和内容之前，我们需要先了解一下AO1,AO2和AO3分别是什么。
AO1 Knowledge and understanding
很多同学觉得AO1就是定义，这是不对的。除了定义之外，AO1还包括facts, formulae, diagram, explanation以及examples。举几个例子。
1. Public goods以下内容都属于AO1：
- Public good is non-excludable and non-rival (fact)
- Meaning of non-excludable and non-rival (explanation)
- Street light is an example of public good (example)
2. Demand以下内容都属于AO1：
- Meaning of demand (definition)
- Diagram of movement along demand curve (diagram)
3. Price elasticity of demand以下内容都属于AO1：
- Meaning of PED (definition)
- Formula of PED (formula)
- Meaning of elastic and inelastic demand (explanation)
简单来说，AO1是不需要用逻辑链解释的。你只需要描述一下这个概念本身是什么即可。
AO2 Analysis
AO2的核心是cause-effect analysis。Income上升price上升是个fact，这属于AO1。而为什么income上升会让price上升，需要cause-effect analysis，这属于AO2。
Increase in income → increase in purchasing power → bags are normal goods → demand for bags increases → shortage of bags at market price → creates upwards price pressure → prices of bags increase.
AO2和AO1的最大区别在于，AO1只需要描述什么是什么，而AO2是需要用逻辑链来解释的。考试的时候，AO2通常包括以下几点：causes, consequences, policies, implications。大家需要特别注意：无论是正面还是反面，都属于AO2。
1. Causes
A causes B属于AO2，A does not cause B也属于AO2。比如题目问income上升如何影响商品的price。Income上升 → Price上升 (normal good)，Income上升 → Price下降 (inferior good) 都属于AO2。
2. Consequences
Positive consequences属于AO2，negative consequences也属于AO2。比如题目问consequences of economic growth，benefits和drawbacks都属于AO2。
3. Policies
Policy如何解决问题属于AO2，policy不能解决问题也属于AO2。比如题目问subsidy能不能增加merit good的consumption，那subsidy能/不能增加consumption都属于AO2。
4. Implications
某个概念有用属于AO2，没有用也属于AO2。比如题目问PED能不能帮助firm做决策，那PED有用/PED没有用都属于AO2。
AO3 Evaluation
AO3是比较AO2的点，并且给出judgement。什么是judgement？比如我问你学校的两家餐厅哪个最好，每家餐厅的优缺点属于AO2。而Judgement指的是比较完两家餐厅的优缺点之后，回答哪家餐厅是最好的这个问题。比如我选的课比较多，吃饭时间比较短。炸鸡店虽然油烟比较多，但是我不介意，因为很快吃完对我来说更重要。而我同学从小在富人区长大，选的课也不多，非常在意用餐环境。对我同学来说，油烟多不能忍受，因此西餐厅更好。
AO2和AO3的最大区别是，AO2的点都是独立的；比如growth的好处和坏处都是进行独立分析。而AO3必须基于AO2来进行对比，他不是一个独立的内容。举几个例子。

AO2: 影响demand的不同factors
AO3: 哪个factor最重要
2. Whether economic growth is beneficial or not.
AO2: Benefits and drawbacks of economic growth
AO3: Economic growth到底好不好
3. Which elasticity is more useful to make decisions.
AO2: Usefulness and limitations of the use of PED and XED
AO3: 到底是PED更有用还是XED更有用
