你没有看错。以上三个网站,是成都墨尔文7年级至Remove年级学生自由组队,在一天之内,利用AI从零搭建完成的迎新网站。从校园生活到课程介绍,从页面设计到用户体验——14个产品诞生,12个入围展示。所有链接均无需登录即可访问,点开便是学生们亲手创造的成果。

这,是一场AI Hackathon(AI黑客马拉松)——一种源自硅谷的创新竞赛形式:参与者在极限时间内,围绕真实命题,经历用户需求定义、原型设计、迭代开发、路演展示的完整产品创造闭环。对中学生而言,这无疑是一次跨越式的挑战。而在成都墨尔文,这正是我们希望学生经历的教育现场。

从计算机课堂到AI赛场

这不是从零开始的故事

时间倒回5月7日,AI Hackathon在成都墨尔文正式启动。活动从基础认知切入。香港Genesis专业团队带领学生走进AI的运作逻辑:什么是Prompt Engineering(提示词工程)?如何通过Token管理优化算力?怎样让AI真正理解你的意图?

学生们的起点并非一张白纸。在成都墨尔文,计算机科学本身就是贯穿中学阶段的系统课程。学生们早已建立对技术的基本理解——他们拥有逻辑训练的基础、人机交互的初步认知,以及对数字工具的熟悉感。而这场赛事的核心,正是在有限的编程框架下,利用AI搭建出可运行的完整网站,将学生已有的学科素养激活,推向真实世界的应用场景。

当学生能用结构化的Prompt生成网页架构,用迭代思维与AI反复打磨产品形态时,他们真正习得的,是一种驾驭技术的元能力。

走进中学阶段

开始理解自己适合什么、热爱什么、未来想成为什么样的人

14支队伍接到的终极任务是:为未来加入成都墨尔文的新生,设计一个AI驱动的迎新网站——一个随时可用、互动性强、能个性化帮助新生适应校园生活的产品。

这迫使他们跳出学生视角:需要完成用户画像,理解“刚入学的新生最需要什么”;需要设计友好的UX/UI页面体验;需要学会向AI精准表达开发意图;需要在遇到报错时启动调试与迭代;最后,还需要向评委讲清楚产品的价值主张。

我们已经身处AI时代。在成都墨尔文,我们希望学生理解科技、驾驭科技,并且拥有在未来世界中解决问题的能力。因此,我们从中学开始,让学生接触AI、创新项目与国际竞赛,培养真正的未来竞争力。

但我们的视野不止于此。

我们真正看重的,是一个孩子如何从小开始,一步一步建立学术能力、领导力、国际视野,最终找到自己人生方向的完整成长路径。

从小学部IPC/EMC的研究型研学活动起步,到走进中学后逐步建立自己的学术方向、人格特质与未来目标,成都墨尔文始终在做一件事:让孩子在真实的探索中,一步步长出面对世界的能力与底气。因为我们相信,真正的国际化教育,不是把孩子送出国,而是让他们无论未来走到世界哪里,都从容不迫。

这群七、八年级和Remove的学生,用一天时间证明了:当思考能力、表达能力、探索世界的好奇心,遇上AI这个时代的超级工具,一个想法就可以变成一个产品,一个少年就可以开始影响世界。

You are not mistaken.The three websites above were built from scratch in just one day by our FY1 to Remove pupils. Using AI and working in self-organised teams they created fully functioning orientation websites covering everything from campus life and curriculum introductions to interface design and user experience. In total, 14 products were developed, with 12 shortlisted for final presentations. Every link is publicly accessible without login – simply click to see the fruits of our pupils' work.

This is an AI Hackathon – an innovation competition format originating in Silicon Valley. Participants work within an intense time limit, to complete the full cycle of product creation: defining user needs, designing prototypes, iterating refinements, and finally pitching their solutions.For senior school pupils, this is a truly ambitious challenge. Yet at Malvern College Chengdu, this is precisely the kind of educational experience we want our pupils to encounter.

From Computer Science Classroom

to AI Arena

Not a Story Starting from Scratch

Rewind to 7thMay, when the AI Hackathon officially launched at Malvern College Chengdu. The event began with foundational learning. A professional team from Genesis Hong Kong guided pupils through the core logic of AI: What is prompt engineering? How can token management optimise computing efficiency? How can we make AI truly understand our intentions?

Our pupils were not starting from a blank slate. At Malvern College Chengdu, Computer Science is systematically integrated throughout the senior years. Pupils already have a fundamental understanding of technology – they possess logical thinking, a basic awareness of human-computer interaction, and a familiarity with digital tools.The central challenge of this competition was to use AI to build a fully functional website within a defined programming framework, transforming their existing academic knowledge into real-world application.

When pupils use structured prompts to generate website architecture and repeatedly refine products through iterative dialogue with AI, they acquire a meta-ability: the capacity to harness technology with purpose and understanding.

Entering the Senior School

Beginning to Understand What Suits You, What You Love, and Who You Want to Become

The ultimate task given to the 14 teams was clear:to design an AI-driven orientation website for new pupils joining Malvern College Chengdu– a product that is always accessible, highly interactive and capable of helping newcomers adapt to school life.

The task required pupils to step outside the pupil perspective: they needed to create user personas and understand what new pupils need most, design an intuitive and friendly user experience (UX/UI), learn to articulate development intentions precisely to AI, debug and iterate when technical errors occurred and finally, in a short compelling pitch, clearly explain the product's value proposition to the judges.

From campus navigation to curriculum introductions, from page design to user guidance – the three websites at the beginning of this article ultimately emerged as the top three entries of the competition.

These FY1, FY2 and Remove pupils proved in just one day that when critical thinking, communication and curiosity meet the super-tools of the AI era, an idea can become a product, and a young person can begin to change the world.

This is the future they are building, brick by brick.
