Q1.能分享一下您过往重要的教育及管理经历吗?

我曾先后在上海2所知名国际化学校担任过班主任教师、年级组长、中文备课组长、数学课程协调员、PYP部门创始人等职务,有20年的教育行业从业经验。这些经历让我深刻理解双语教育的复杂性与可能性,也让我更加坚定地相信:教育不仅是知识的传递,更是生命的唤醒与赋能。

在小学阶段,我们通过“双轨并行、有机融合”的方式,既严格落实国家课程标准,又通过跨学科的探究框架拓展孩子的全球视野与综合实践的能力。我们采用小班化、分层教学、项目式学习等方式,同时提供个性化学习计划、课后辅导、拓展挑战任务等差异化支持,确保每个孩子都能在适合自己的节奏中成长。

“I am primarily responsible for Chinese-Medium Learning (CML) and Pastoral care in the Elementary School. My focus is on deepening and innovating the integration of Chinese, mathematics, and pastoral curricula, ensuring that students not only master strong subject foundations in a bilingual environment but also grow into responsible, globally minded lifelong learners.”

Could you share some of your most important educational and leadership experiences?

I have worked for20 yearsin education, serving as homeroom teacher, grade leader,Chinese lead teacher, mathematics coordinator, and the head of PYP departmentin two well-regarded bilingual schools in Shanghai. These experiences helped me understand the complexity and possibilities of bilingual education, and strengthened my belief that education is not merely about knowledge transmission but about awakening and empowering life.

What are the distinctive features of CML at Dehong Elementary School?

In the elementary years, we follow a“dual-track and integrated”approach, ensuring full alignment with the national curriculum while expanding students’ global perspectives and practical skills throughan inquiry-based, interdisciplinary framework. Withsmall-class teaching, differentiated instruction, and project-based learning, alongside personalized learning plans, after-school support, and extension challenges, we make sure each child progresses at their own pace.

Outside of lessons, Dehong ES offers a wide range ofQidi courses, residential trips, subject festivals, art exhibitions, and sports events, encouraging students to explore their interests and develop their potential in real-world contexts.

Beyond academics, what qualities do you believe should be nurtured at the elementary stage?

Curiosity, responsibility, collaboration, and resilience.My hope is that five years from now, each child will move on to the next stage with confidence, open-mindedness, and the ability to be a lifelong learner.

Collaboration between Chinese and international teachers is essential.Throughco-planning, cross-cultural research, and sharing of student growth portfolios, homeroom and subject teachers can together attend to every child’s development.
