Louisa指出，一位真正具备“未来力”的学生，必须掌握以下四项关键能力：

即时思考与临场应变的能力
清晰、精准地表达复杂思想
富有同理心、深度的倾听技巧
建设性地与不同意见进行交流互动

而支撑起这些关键能力的基石，正是 “口语表达能力”（Oracy）——那种带着自信、有目的地去表达和倾听的能力。正如哈佛大学在官网上列出对申请者的评估维度除学术外，还将从领导力、社群参与度、合作能力、个人品质与性格等维度进行考量。斯坦福大学强调同理心在领导力中的重要性，认为它有助于有效领导和促进开放理解的文化。

Part 1：What a Truly Future-Ready Student Looks Like？

Louisa pointed out that a truly future-ready student should possess four core competencies:

The ability to think and respond on the spot
The ability to express complex ideas clearly
Empathetic listening skills
The ability to engage constructively with different perspectives

At the heart of these essential skills lies Oracy—the ability to speak and listen with confidence and purpose. As listed on Harvard University’s official website, the applicant assessment criteria go beyond academics to include leadership, community involvement, collaborative skills, and personal qualities and character. Stanford University highlights empathy as central to leadership, crediting it with powering effective guidance and a culture of open understanding.

口语表达能力（Oracy）

沟通技巧的升华，更是品格的塑造！

很多人简单地将口语表达能力视作演讲技巧（如发音、词汇、逻辑），但Louisa强调，口语表达能力更与学生的品格紧密相连：

勇气：敢于站上台，让自己的声音被听见，并承担被提问的挑战。
同理心：能够调整自己的表达，让话语真正与听众连接，而非自说自话。
清晰度：这种思维的严谨性，确保你“言必由衷，言出必行”。

口语表达能力不仅是交流工具，它更是培养学生道德感和公民责任感的关键途径。每一次在公共场合的发言，无论是课堂讨论、辩论，都是在塑造自我、拓展视野、实践影响力。

因此，她现场给老师们支招：“例如在数学课堂，别再只让学生报答案，而是让他们用结构化语言解释解题思路——30秒就能激活全班的Oracy，课堂瞬间升温！

Oracy: More Than Just a Skill,

It's Character!

While it's easy to frame oracy in terms of skills (such as Reasoning and Evidence, Expression and Delivery, Organisation and Prioritisation), it is also deeply connected to Character.

Courage: The courage to stand up, make your voice heard, and risk being questioned.
Empathy: The ability to shape your words so they connect with others.
Clarity: That discipline of thought which allows you to say what you mean, and mean what you say.

In this sense, oracy is not only about communication, it is about cultivating moral and civic responsibility. Every debate, presentation, and conversation is a rehearsal for the kind of person they are becoming, and the kind of citizen they will be. Louisa also offered a “micro-tweak” tactic: simply ask students to spell out their math answer as “step one, step two, therefore…” and both energy and participation rise instantly.
