The Pathway to Success HQIS中学部升学说明会 | 通往世界名校之路由此开启

Recently, alongside the Early Childhood and Primary School Open Houses, HQIS proudly hosted a dedicatedOpen House event for our Upper School parents. The sessions welcomed families from both Middle School and High School, as well as HQIS partner educators and our college counselor,creating a collaborative environment to explore important milestones in our students’ educational journeys.

近期，HQIS中学部迎来了一场充满温情的中学部升学讲座。我们诚挚邀请了初高中部的家长们，与教学团队齐聚一堂，在融洽的氛围中，共同描绘孩子们成长的蓝图，见证每一个可能绽放的精彩。

The morning began with High School parents gathering in the lecture hall for anin-depth session on one of the most important topics for Grades 9–12: the college application process. Parents were reminded that preparation for college does not start in Grade 12, but much earlier, with careful planning throughout the high school years.

当天上午，高中部家长齐聚演讲厅，这场以“大学申请与未来规划”为主题的分享会，承载着家长们对子女未来的美好期待。我们坚信，每个孩子的大学梦都需要用心浇灌，而这份准备应当始于热爱与兴趣萌发的那一刻。

The discussion covered a wide range of areas includingU.S. university admission criteria, strategies to build a remarkable resume, academic course planning, the role of parental support, and how to identify the right-fit college for each student. The session provided valuable guidance for parents eager to support their children on the path to higher education.

研讨会内容涵盖多个关键领域：美国大学录取标准、背景提升策略、课程规划、家长支持，以及如何为学生甄选最匹配的理想院校。我们探讨了如何做孩子最坚强的后盾，既给予支持又不失放手智慧。这场对话，让大学规划不再是冰冷的流程，而成为亲子共同成长的美好旅程。

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Middle School parents. This session highlighted thepivotal role of the middle school years in laying strong foundations for high school and beyond.

下午，我们迎来了初中部的家长说明会。在这个充满探索的年纪，我们深知每个孩子都怀揣着独特的天赋与潜能，正如含苞待放的花朵，需要阳光、雨露与耐心的守候。

Upper school educators, including our college counselor Ms. Wu, shared insights intohow HQIS supports students in developing their strengths, addressing areas for improvement, and preparing for future academic challenges. Parents also received an introduction to standardized tests such as the SAT and practical advice on when and how to begin preparation. With a clear roadmap for the years ahead, the session reassured parents of HQIS’s commitment to guiding students toward long-term success.
