下面来具体看看本次的候选辩题吧~
#1、政治
Politics
Resolved: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland should rejoin the European Union.
英国应该重新加入欧盟。
The question of whether the UK should rejoin the European Union remains controversial. Is Brexit a mistake? Years after Brexit, people start to look back and evaluate that decision.
Pro teams will argue that rejoining will improve the economy and trade, align regulations, and increase international influence.
Con teams will counter that the status quo respects the outcome of democratic vote, maintains sovereignty and national independence, and potentially benefits the economy in the long term.
Who is right?

Resolved: Economic sanctions are more harmful than beneficial.
经济制裁弊大于利。
Economic sanctions are a common diplomatic tool but have many critics.
Pro teams will focus on the harm done to civilian populations and their failure to solve intended problems.
On the other side, Con teams will argue that military intervention is the likely alternative and worse, and that sanctions can be effectively targeted to minimize harm.
Teams will have to weigh the humanitarian harms of sanctions against foreign policy gains.

Economics&Environment
Resolved:International financial institutions should cancel all outstanding public debt from fossil fuel projects in low- and middle-income countries (LIMC).
国际金融机构应取消中低收入国家（LIMC）化石燃料项目的所有未偿公共债务。
The resolution advocating for the cancellation of outstanding public debt from fossil fuel projects in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) is centered around the impacts of climate change and the financial burdens placed on these nations.
Pro teams will argue that many fossil fuel debts are illegitimate, stemming from projects that failed to deliver promised economic benefits and exacerbated environmental degradation and social injustices.
Con teams will likely argue that debt cancellation creates a moral hazard and the potential negative implications for future lending practices and economic growth.
How to balance between mitigating climate change and maintaining economic growth, especially in regard with poverty reduction in poorer countries?

Politics
Resolved:The abolition of USAID brings net benefits to the U.S. national interest.
废除美国国际开发署（USAID）为美国国家利益带来净收益。
Recent cuts to the budget of the US Agency for International Development sparked a wider debate about the need for, and appropriate use of, development assistance.
The public sees that the development assistance has been used as cover for regime change and wastes money on projects that don't benefit the US.
However, there still might be specific USAID programs that have been effective, especially ones related to education, food insecurity, health, landmines and others.
Debates will balance the economic and political benefits with the diplomatic gains from development assistance.

Economics
Resolved:Latin American countries should prioritize intraregional trade over international trade.
拉丁美洲国家应优先发展区域内贸易，而非国际贸易。
Regional versus international trade is a timely subject for debate.
Proponents argue that intraregional trade improves local industries and regional unity, while it reduces dependence on and vulnerability to global markets. People also feel that strengthening regional ties and improving collaboration could also benefit regional security.
Opponents instead defend the benefits of international trade, including access to international markets and the improved relations with trading partners.
Debates will frequently come down to which team has the best approach to promoting trade.

报名资格：
选手需满足以下至少一项条件，方可报名参赛：
1. 在地区赛或线上联赛中晋级淘汰赛的选手；
2. 参加2023/2024年度冠军赛的选手；
3. 参加训练营的选手；
4. 优秀选手可独立申请报名 (需由组委会审核决定)；
5. BP赛事的选手仅进行年龄要求审核。
注意事项：
1. 组别设置中:
小学组面向6年级及以下的所有学生；
初中组面向9年级及以下的所有学生；
PS高中组、PF公开组及BP中学组面向12年级及以下的所有学生；
青少年世界学校辩论面向7-13周岁的所有学生。
2. NHSDLC年度冠军赛为全国性赛事，参赛辩手的学校类型和国籍将不会对报名参赛的组别产生影响。
